Mix it up with Treasure Hunt Edinburgh this Father's day

Posted on June 1, 2024

A pirate map leading to grog for father’s day!

With Father’s day coming up, it can be hard to think of something original to get for your dad. Is it going to be another gift pack of beers with a cheesy card from Tesco? You can do better!

How about mixing it up this year with a trip into town to play Treasure Hunt Edinburgh? It’s a fun way to spend some quality time with Dad, getting out the house in the (hopefully) lovely June weather.

“The format is nice and informal and you can take it at your own pace. Highly recommended for 1st time visitors and the seasoned Edinburgh visitor too!”

It’s designed for adults, so you’ll have a laugh together (8+ are welcome too if you want to make a family day of it).

You’ll be testing out your essential pirate skills - following treasure maps, solving cryptic clues, and looking carefully around the city to find the answers. You’ll all be led around the city by a bossy pirate character who sends messages to your phones.

Plenty of pubs 🍺

Don’t worry, there’s plenty of time for ale and grog along the way if Dad rebels. We’ve planned a carefully designed route that passes some of Edinburgh’s best pubs and cafes so you won’t go thirsty.

There are good options to stop for a rest at Grassmarket after clue 7.

You’ll find some useful info for your voyage here.

Last minute? No problem! ⌛

What’s more, if you’re disorganised like me and you’re reading this on Sunday morning, no problem! You can book last minute, unlike the restaurants which are all booked up.

Have a laugh this Father’s day, book now!

“...exploring the city this way was so much more fun for us than going on a group tour. It was such a great and memorable experience, I can't wait to go to more cities they offer treasure hunts in.”
