Welcome to Edinburgh1

You’ve finally made it to Edinburgh. Welcome! New term, new place, new… everything! But what to see first? Treasure Hunt Edinburgh is a great way to spend some time getting to know people in your new home. Whether you’re a fresher or a returning student, this adventure will give you a fresh perspective on your new home.

Been Here Before? Rediscover Edinburgh!

If your fresher days are behind you, don’t worry—this hunt is just as fun for returning students. Test your knowledge and challenge your mates as you uncover hidden gems around Edinburgh. Our carefully crafted route skirts past the tourist traps and leads you to some of the best-kept secrets in town.

How does it work? ☠️

It’s designed for adults, so you’ll have a laugh together. Crews can be any size, although it might be more fun to split into smaller groups and see who can be the first to solve the final clue!

You’ll need to channel your inner pirate as you follow maps, solve cryptic clues, and scour the city for answers. Captain Bess, your bossy pirate leader, will guide you via messages sent directly to your phones. It’s like an escape room, but spread across the entire city!

Where does your adventure begin?

Your adventure begins at the bottom of Cockburn street.

You’ll easily find it on your maps app. And for an effortlessly planned day, you’ll find some more helpful info here.

And yes, there are stops! 🍻

Exploring a new city can be thirsty work, so we’ve made sure our route includes some great pubs and cafes. Whether you’re into craft beer or coffee, you’ll find plenty of spots to take a break and soak in the atmosphere of Edinburgh. Pirate fancy dress is optional ☠️

“...exploring the city this way was so much more fun for us than going on a group tour. It was such a great and memorable experience, I can't wait to go to more cities they offer treasure hunts in.”
